Forty Hall - Restoration Plans

Forty Hall Future

Grants

Enfield Council is putting in the second stage of the Heritage Lottery Bid to restore Forty Hall and Estate to its former glory. Back out bid!

Heritage Lottery Fund

On 3rd November 2008, Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) announced it will contribute grants worth about 2 million to its important project.

Councillor lavender said, "The news that we have secured this grant gives a tremendous boost to the future of Forty Hall. This gives us a unique chance to re-model the Hall completely to make sure that every aspect of it is planned and coordinated to make it the top visitor attraction that it should be."

Enfield Council is contributing 2.8 million to the much-anticipated project.

Future

We hope this project will improve Forty Hall's regional and national standing.

Forty Hall, 'Enfield's Heritage Jewel in the Crown', is already the local museum, and arts and community venue. We believe that the restoration will make it a centre of excellence for education, events and exhibitions that more people can enjoy.
