Providing Procurement advice to the Council and its suppliers.

All contracts are awarded as per the Council's Contract Procedure Rules (CPRs), which form part of the Council's Constitution and conform to UK and EU law.

The Council's procurement strategy encompasses key EU and UK legislation requirements and the required outcomes of the National Procurement Strategy.

Advertisements for Tenders are placed on our website and relevant trade/dedicated contract journals or electronically in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) where the value exceeds the EU threshold. The London Borough of Enfield publishes OJEU adverts through BIP Solutions and therefore the adverts also appear in Contrax weekly and Supply2gov.uk.

The attached table shows the process followed for each level of expenditure.

The London Borough of Enfield has a devolved procurement service. This consists of Lead Buyers and local Procurement managers in Service Departments. They specify requirements and lead on procurement requirements.
