School admission appeals

How to appeal

I want to appeal. What do I have to do?

You need to submit an appeal form to our School Appeals Service.

If you want to appeal for more than one school, you will need to submit a form for each school.

Enfield School Admissions Service will send you the form. To get more copies, contact the Service or make photocopies.

What should I include in the form?

Provide all the information about your child as requested in the form.

There is space on the form for you to explain why you feel that your child should be given a place in the school, even though the school is full.

If you are appealing for more than one school, the reasons might differ for each school.

What else should I submit?

If you have information to support your appeal, you should submit it. For example, you may have relevant reports or letters from a doctor, a social worker or anyone who understands your child's circumstances.

You can send supporting information to the School Appeals Service at any time between submitting your appeal form and the appeal hearing. Please do so as soon as you can so that the can panel receive them in good time.

If you bring new information to the hearing, the panel can decide if it should be considered.
