Children and young people - advice

Connexions provides customised service offering advice, guidance and access to personal development opportunities. This is open to all young people aged 13 to 19, or up to 25 for those with a learning difficulty or disability. All young people will have access to a Connexions personal adviser.

The level of support will vary considerably: some young people only need to learn how to access information on learning and career options, whereas others may need intensive long-term one-to-one support in removing their barriers to learning.

Some personal advisers work with young people in schools and colleges, or with training providers. Others are based in organisations such as the youth service, specialist young people centres and Connexions Centres.
