Pollution control – water

The Environment Agency's North East Thames office enforces regulations on pollution of controlled water courses

There are several ways in which we work with Environment Agency to prevent or control pollution. These are:

• Reporting incidents promptly
• Ensuring that emissions from the industries that we regulate are properly controlled
• Preventing pollution of water due to land contamination

Reported incidents are referred to Environment Agency.
