I want to rent privately in Enfield
I want to find a property to rent
There are many ways to find somewhere to rent in London :
Online
The Internet provides a very good up-to-date source of properties to rent. Useful websites include:

Google
Gumtree
Loot

Rightmove
Yell
Newspapers and advertised lets
Newspapers often advertise property to let. They include:
Daily
- Loot
- Evening Standard (Wednesday's edition has a large selection)
Weekly
- London Lets (Wednesday)
- Guardian (Thursday)
- Pink Paper
Local / London newspapers
- Enfield : Enfield Independent; Enfield Advertiser (Wednesday); Enfield Gazette (Thursday)
- Camden : Camden New Journal (Thursday); Ham & High (Friday); Kilburn Times; St Pancras Chronicle (Holborn Chronicle)

Accommodation agencies and letting agents
You can save a lot of time by going to a lettings agent. You will need references and money for a deposit. You can find letting agents listed in local papers and in Loot, Evening Standard, Yellow Pages and Thompson Local.
Letting agents may charge you a fee for their services if they find you somewhere to rent. They are not allowed to charge you a fee just for registering you on their books. Never give any money to a letting agent unless you have agreed to move into the property.
Notice boards and shop windows
Cheaper accommodation is sometimes advertised in high street newsagents and supermarkets.
Students
Large colleges employ student welfare officers and accommodation officers who may be able to put you in touch with landlords who let to students. Have a look at college and university accommodation notice boards too.
