How to apply for Housing Benefit (Local Housing Allowance)

You may be able to apply for Local Housing Allowance (LHA) and council tax benefit.

If a claim is made by phone, you must follow up on it with a form within one month. 

You can either submit an application online or print the form and send it to us by post. 

If our Housing Benefit department asks you for information, it is important for you to reply as soon as possible or your benefit will be cancelled. Get your form in as soon as possible or there may be a delay in getting benefit paid.
