How to request your official search on-line
Official searches can be electronically submitted and received using our on-line web submissions module. Search details are input online and the search submitted to us, we then process the searches and send them back to you in an adobe pdf document that you can view, download and attach to e-mails.
This service comes at no extra cost and has many advantages over the normal method of sending searches through the post:
- No need to write out cheques as the money is debited from your account (an invoice can be e-mailed or posted to you and the money comes out 3 days later. See example Invoice). This will happen on a weekly basis.
- No delay to searches by postal strikes or overnight DX post, most searches are returned within hours.
- Searches can be downloaded and saved onto your computers and can be stored until needed or requested from other solicitors when it can simply be e-mailed over.
You can also request personal searches of the land charges register using the one stop shop order form, which can be emailed back to the land charges team.
