Shrub Bed Maintenance

We maintain shrub beds that are on public land, including on:

• Roundabouts
• Compounds
• Central Reservations
• Roadside Verges

Winter Work

• Main pruning is completed during the winter months
• Deadwood and plants are removed
• Shrubs are maintained at 1 metre heights
• Weeds and litter are cleared from the shrub beds

Spring Work

• Weed control using herbicide

Summer Work

• A light prune to clear sight lines and maintain visibility at junctions
• Dead weeds and litter are removed
• Some additional shrubs are planted

In addition to our regular street maintenance, litter is picked up before each cut to prevent the cutting-up and spread of rubbish.
