Planned Road Works in Enfield

Major Gas works on the Ridgeway between Hadley Road EN2 and Drapers Road EN2

From 23rd January 2012 - June 2012

Expect Delays

The North London Gas Alliance will recommence with their mains replacement programme along the Ridgeway between the junction of Hadley Road and Drapers Road. Associated with this scheme is a section of work in Lavender Hill (approx 50metres away from the roundabout the junction of the Ridgeway).
The programme is subject to other works such as emergency works taking place within the vicinity but has been planned in the following phases.

Phase One - COMPLETE

The Ridgeway from the junction of Hadley Road to number 104 The Ridgeway  - approx duration 3 weeks

Hadley Road will be closed at the junction of the Ridgeway as well as Ridge Crest. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via Oak Avenue EN2.

Phase Two - COMPLETE

The Ridgeway from 104 to number 94, (opposite the hospital) - approx duration 3 weeks
 Hadley Road (from The Ridgeway to Ridge Crest) will be turned into a one way westbound towards Cockfosters  (subject to traffic impact)

Phase Three  - COMPLETE

The Ridgeway from number 94 to number 84 - approx duration 3 weeks
Ridge Crest will remain closed.

Phase Four- COMPLETE

The Ridgeway from number 84 to the roundabout at the junction of Lavender Hill -approx duration 3 weeks.
This section will be carried out with cones and barriers and not temporary traffic signals.

Phase Five - RUNNING TO SCHEDULE

Lavender Hill EN2 from the roundabout at the junction of The Ridgeway for approximately 50 metres - approx duration 3 weeks
This is being done in order to prevent the need of temporary signals to be set up again at the junction when works proceed into Lavender Hill.

Phase Six.

The Ridgeway from the junction of Lavender Hill roundabout to the Ridgeway Tavern (opposite number 123) 0- approx duration 3 weeks.
4 Way temporary signals will be set up.

Phase Seven.

From opposite number 123 to the junction of Drapers Road EN2. - approx 25 weeks.
Two way lights will be used as the works proceed along The Ridgeway in 50 metre sections.
