Road Works

We maintain the roads and pavements of adopted highways in Enfield and inspect them for dangers and problems on a regular basis.

An adopted highway is one where we, the local authority, have taken on the legal responsibility for maintenance. (Some roads and pavements are privately owned and are not inspected or repaired by us).

Sometimes roadworks need to be carried out by us or a utility company in order to improve services or the local area, and in each case we will provide notification of:

• Road Closures
• Diversions
• Possible traffic disruption that are caused by current or upcoming road works
