Highway Flooding

We are responsible for maintaining road gullies and the connections to the public sewer.

Land drainage

If flooding arises from land drainage - for example, where a field is waterlogged and water is flooding off the land - please contact the Environment Agency.

The landowner is responsible for solving this issue, but we may work with him to do so.

River Flooding

The Environment Agency is usually responsible for when larger rivers overflow. For more information, please visit the Environment Agency website.

If a river is flooding and there is no foul debris, it may be a land drainage issue. Please contact The Environment Agency.

It may also be the responsibility of the riverbank owner to solve any flooding issues.
