Compost Bin

Nearly a third of all household rubbish can be composted at home. Home composting is the best way to deal with your garden waste, and fruit and vegetable peelings; this means that you can produce a free soil improver to help make your garden beautiful!

How much do the bins cost and how can I order one?

There are a number of different bin sizes and types that can be purchased through the scheme we run in conjunction with Straight PLC.

Prices start from a very reasonable £15 (+ delivery) for a 220 litre bin.  There are also wormeries, water butts and kitchen composters available as well as a number of compost bin accessories.

Why not see if any of the neighbours are interested in composting and use the buy one bin and get another half price offer?

For further information please click here or call the order hotline 0844 571 4444.

If you already have a compost bin and would like further information on how to produce better compost please click through to the next page of this section.

For information on other compost bin and wormery suppliers please use your internet search engine or look for Garden Equipment Suppliers in your telephone directory.

Where is the best place to put a compost bin?

It's best to site your bin on a level, well-drained spot. This allows excess water to drain out and makes it easier for creatures such as worms to get in and start breaking down the contents.

Placing your bin in a partially sunny spot can help speed up the composting process.
