London Borough of Enfield

Recycle from home

Enfield's recycling service is getting bigger. Drink cartons (e.g. Tetra Paks, juice cartons and milk cartons) and plastic packaging (e.g. margarine tubs, yogurt pots, carrier bags and take away containers) can now be put into your recycling containers/bins for collection. This will give Enfield one of the best recycling services in London.

In addition to drink cartons and plastic packaging all people living in houses and flats and on estates can recycle:

  • mixed paper (e.g. newspaper, magazines, junk mail, telephone directories)
  • cardboard (e.g. corrugated cardboard, cereal packets, egg boxes).
  • glass bottles and jars
  • food tins and drink cans
  • plastic bottles
  • empty aerosols

Please ensure paper and cardboard are clean and dry and all other items are free from food.

Please do not put the following items into your recycling container

  • cling film
  • all non carrier bags
  • crisp packets
  • plastic food wrapping
  • polystyrene
  • any items containing food waste
