Restore Furniture Collection
Enfield Council works in partnership with the charity Re-store to save good quality unwanted furniture from being thrown away. Re-store collect these items for free and then sell them to local people in need at reduced rates. Not only is this of great benefit to the environment but is also a very worthwhile cause to support locally.
Collections are free and there is no limit on the number of collections each household can receive.
From Armchairs to Z beds Re-store have it covered!
The following items can be collected:
- Bed bases
- CD racks & towers
- Chest of drawers
- Coffee tables
- Desk chairs
- Dressing tables
- Dining chairs
- Dining tables
- Futons (Complete with mattress)
- Kitchen/dining room dressers
- TV stands
- Wall units
- Z beds
Furniture must be clean and dry and in good condition.
How can I book a collection?
Please note that due to the Christmas holidays between the 24th December 2013-7th January 2014, the next available date for Re-store collections will be Wednesday 8th of January 2014.
You must inform us how we can access the property and pick up these items.
Re-store collect items from inside your property. A maximum of 5 items can be collected per collection. If you have more than 5 items, you may need 2-3 collection slots (dependend on the number of items required to be collected). Please advise us if you have more than 5 items when booking your collection.
Items placed outside for collection will not be collected.
Tuesday to Friday 9.30am - 12.30pm
Please note: Padded furniture must carry a Fire Regulations 1988 compliance label.
What if my furniture is not good enough for re-use?
We provide a chargeable bulky collection for items that cannot be reused. For more information click here Alternatively, items can be taken to Barrowell Green Recycling Centre, Barrowell Green, Winchmore Hill N21 3AR
