Resident refuse and recycling collections
Resident refuse and recycling collection days
We collect household recycling and waste once a week from all residential areas in Enfield.
Collection hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm
Please note that your collections can take place anytime between 7am and 4pm.
Your recycling, garden and food waste and refuse are not collected at the same time.
When necessary, we start at 6am, for example in areas that are on red routes and high-density shopping areas.
If you live in a house
- Put your recycling in your blue lidded wheeled bin and garden, food waste in your green lidded wheeled bin and refuse in your grey lidded wheeled bin
- On your collection day, leave your wheeled bins at the edge of the boundary of your property by 7am
If you live in a flat or on an estate
- You will receive communal bin collection service where larger containers are provided
- Put your recycling and waste in these containers
All properties that are on the sack collection service will receive their next delivery of sacks by the 8th November.
If you have run out of sacks, please put recycling in open refuse type sacks (e.g. black sacks) and refuse in tied refuse type sacks.
If it is after 4pm on your collection day and your refuse or recycling still have not been collected please report the missed collection online.
