Trees on the public highway

Trees contribute to greenery, richness of wildlife and the quality of the street scene, and Enfield Council highly values its remarkable heritage of over 25,000 street trees.

Our current tree stock consists of a wide variation of species, such as:

• Forest type trees such as London Plane, Lime, Maple, Oak and
• Smaller ornamental trees such as Cherry, Apple and Plum

We aim to treasure our trees by maintaining them regularly, as well as promoting the future use of them in order to continuallty enhance the borough.
