Evidence for parking tickets issued in a car park

I displayed a valid season ticket in my vehicle.

You could have been parking in a car park where you were not entitled to use your season ticket.

If your season ticket was valid for the car park, you need to send us a copy of your season ticket.

I displayed a valid pay-and-display ticket (off-street) in my vehicle.

If you purchased a ticket but it was not clearly displayed, you need to send:
  • A copy of the ticket (keep the original); and
  • An explanation of why it was not clearly displayed.

Check that the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) was issued for 'parked in a car park without clearly displaying a valid pay & display ticket'. It could have been issued for another reason (e.g. being out of a bay).

I did not park the vehicle within the markings of the bay.

You need to send us:

  • An explanation of why your vehicle was not within the bay

The Civil Enforcement Officer would have indicated in his evidence how the vehicle was parked.

We will not waive the PCN if you had parked in an aisle and obstructed traffic movement.

My vehicle was taken without my consent.

This only applies if your vehicle was stolen.

It does not apply if you allowed a family member or friend to access your vehicle keys.

I paid to park by mobile phone.

We need to check with your provider.

You need to provide your:

  • Mobile phone number; and
  • Vehicle Registration number

I went away to get change

This is not a valid reason.  You should have change on you before parking or paid by mobile phone.
