Loading and unloading
If loading/ unloading is carried out and it is done
on a yellow line:
A vehicle can stop to load/ unload for 40 minutes where there are no loading restrictions in force.
in a loading bay:
Loading/ unloading can be carried out for a maximum of 20 minutes when restrictions are in force.
Vehicles are not permitted to load/unload without a time restriction.
Loading/unloading must be continuous and within a reasonable distance to the relevant property, or the vehicle will be liable to receive a PCN.
If there are 'no loading' restrictions in place, vehicles seen to be loading/ unloading will be liable to receive a PCN.
If loading/ unloading is done outside of the hours of enforcement, it may be carried out without time restriction.
