Enfield Arts Support Service - making music make a difference

EASS provides instrumental and vocal lessons to children and young people
who live or go to school in the Borough of Enfield at JJL Every Saturday for more information please contact EASS

The John Jackson Library Song:
The John Jackson Library (Bush Hill Park) was refurbished in 2009 as part
of the BIG Lottery's Community Libraries Project.
Maria Tolly, a member of the Adult Advisory Board, offered to write a song
in partnership with the local Primary School, Bush Hill Park Primary for the
official launch on Tuesday 24th February 2010. Maria interviewed thirty 8 year olds from the school asking them what they thought of libraries, books and reading and from this she wrote 'Book-Rap'. For the next few months, she visited the school regularly to teach the children the song and 12 of them performed the song at the launch.
