About Corporate Procurement

The Corporate Procurement Team

The Corporate Procurement Team is part of the Finance and Corporate Resources Directorate at Enfield Council and we are situated in the Civic Centre.

The team promotes Procurement Best Practice to enable the Council to purchase goods and services; ensuring Best Value and adherence to the principles of M.E.A.T (Most Economically Advantageous Tender) for all the procurement processes undertaken.

To facilitate this the team is looking to establish Council-wide contracts for goods and services, aggregating our purchases, standardising our products, developing and implementing e-Procurement initiatives and working collaboratively with other Authorities to increase buying power and share the costs of procurement.
The team is responsible for:

  • providing specialist professional procurement advice, support & guidance to purchasers in departments across the Council, Regionally and Nationally
  • developing the Council's procurement strategy, policies and procedures
  • promoting, developing and implementing e-procurement across the Authority
  • the placement and management of major corporate contracts
  • working collaboratively with our strategic partners, small & local businesses, voluntary and third sector organisations and purchasing consortia to deliver value for money in contracts and supplies
  • ensuring that opportunities for business reach as many potential suppliers as possible and to make it easy for them to engage with the Council
  • ensuring staff have the skills and support they need to purchase efficiently
