Children and young people - young carers - support and advice

In order to be referred to the voluntary organisation DAZU, which is a service for young carers, the assessment team needs to conduct an assessment. The assessment will look at the type of support the family is requesting and the additional support that can be put in place to help the family.

Families can contact the assessment team through the customer service centre. An initial assessment will be undertaken to look at the additional services that can be introduced to support the family.

Who can apply
The family requesting a service from social services needs to be living in the borough of Enfield.

Required information
Documentation may be required to confirm address, disability or other issues discussed during the assessment.

Turnaround time
Initial assessments should be completed within seven working days. If the case is referred to another service provider, there may be a delay until the service begins.
