Disabled Persons' Parking Bays
Disabled Persons' Parking Bays
Many disabled people living and working in Enfield rely on the private car as a main mode of transport. Due to an increase in car ownership, parking pressure along some residential roads is high, causing difficulties for blue badge holders who cannot park close to their homes. You can apply to have a disabled bay along a residential road.
We receive a high demand for this free service; therefore, we have a strict qualification criteria to ensure that only people with the highest severity of mobility are considered.
Who can apply
To qualify for a disabled parking bay, you must:
- Be a current blue badge holder
- Own or use a vehicle registered at your address
- Not have access to off-street parking, driveway or garage at the address
- Be receiving or be eligible to receive either Disability Living Allowance with the highest mobility component or if you are over 65, the highest rate of Attendance Allowance. (Please note these allowances are awarded at the discretion of the Department of Work and Pensions.)
