How to get to the civic centre

Public Transport

You can get to the Civic Centre from a range of tube and mainline train stations:

  • Enfield Town - 5 minutes walk
  • Enfield Chase - 12 minutes walk
  • Gordon Hill - 20 minutes walk
  • Southbury Road - 25 minutes walk
  • Bush Hill Park - 30 minutes walk
  • Grange Park - 30 minutes walk
  • Oakwood tube station - 20minutes by bus (routes 121, 397, 377)
  • Cockfosters tube station - 25 minutes by bus (routes 299, 307)
  • Southgate tube station - 30 minutes by bus (route 121)

From Enfield Town station (0.3miles, about 6 minutes)

This station is served by National Express East Anglia trains originating from Liverpool Street station.

Exit the station onto Southbury Road, turn left and continue straight down until you arrive at the junction. Turn right at the lights onto Silver Street and continue walking until you see the Civic Centre on your right.

From Enfield Chase station (0.6miles, about 12 minutes)

This station is served by First Capital Connect trains originating from Moorgate station.

Exit the station onto Windmill Hill and turn right, continuing straight down along the road until it becomes Church Street. At the junction turn left onto Silver Street. Continue walking and the Civic Centre will be on your left.

From Gordon Hill station (1 mile, about 20 minutes)

This station is served by First Capital Connect trains originating from Moorgate station.

Exit the station onto Lavender Hill, heading towards Lavender Gardens. Turn right onto Gordon Hill and continue to the end of the road. Turn right onto Chase Side and then slightly left onto Parsonage Lane. Continue along this road and turn right onto Baker Street. The Civic Centre will be on your left.

From Southbury station (1.3miles, about 26 minutes)

This station is served by National Express East Anglia trains originating from Liverpool Street station.

Exit the station onto Southbury Road and turn left heading towards Crown Road. Continue along Southbury Road for just over a mile and then turn right onto Silver Street at the junction.  Continue walking and the Civic Centre will be on your left.

From Bush Hill Park station (1.5miles, about 30 minutes)

This station is served by National Express East Anglia trains originating from Liverpool Street station.

Exit the station onto First Avenue and head towards Trinity Avenue. Turn right at Queen Anne's Place and then turn right onto Wellington Road. Turn left onto Private Road and then turn right onto Village Road. Continue to the end of the road and then turn right onto London Road. Continue to the end of the junction and cross over to Silver Street straight on. Walk down and the Civic Centre will be on your right.

From Grange Park station (1.6miles, about 31 minutes)

This station is served by First Capital Connect trains originating from Moorgate station.

Exit the station onto The Grangeway and head towards Homewillow Close. Continue to the end of the road and turn left onto Old Park Ridings. Follow the road turning slightly left onto Old Park Avenue. Continue until you reach the junction with Church Street and Windmill Hill. Turn right onto Church Street and continue to Enfield Town. At the junction turn left onto Silver Street and walk until you see the Civic Centre on your right.
