What is the Council doing to become more sustainable?

Sustainable Actions of Enfield Council

Enfield Council is also adapting to climate change and taking steps to become more sustainable, such as;

• The Council are currently running a SMART meter installations pilot in 2 primary schools and 10 Council buildings
• A hybrid pool car for staff has been purchased
• A dual fuel vehicle is now in use in the waste management fleet
• We have upgraded and renewed four of the main boilers and burner controls at the Civic Centre
• Recycling bins are now provided in Council buildings
• Electric car charge points are provided in the borough
• The lights in the Civic Centre are now sensory operated
