Road Safety Drama

The Road Safety & Travel Awareness Team provide Theatre In Education projects including plays for primary schools such as; "Cat Nine Lives" and ''Now You See Me, Now You Don't'', which is the most recent production to come to Enfield in March 2010. Plays for Year 7 pupils upwards include; "The Price" which covers transition to secondary school and "Too Much Punch For Judy" explores the issues around drink and drug driving for older pupils.

Our most recent Theatre In Education project was aimed at secondary school pupils in March 2010. They were asked to research, write and deliver a performance piece about road safety and travel awareness for junior schools in Enfield .

There were four finalists - Highlands School , Turin Grove School , Broomfield School and Kingsmead School . The finalists had the opportunity to perform their play at Millfield Theatre to a panel of judges, including Mayor Eleftherios Savva.

Year 9 pupils from Highlands School won the competition and will be delivering their entertaining road safety and travel awareness play "Ben Zebras And The Green Cross Code" to Enfield Junior Schools during 2010.
