Fostering in Enfield

Could you foster for Enfield?

How to become an Enfield Foster Carer?

You have begun!

Thank you for contacting Enfield's Fostering Service to find out about
becoming a foster carer. We are always looking for new people to join
the pool of successful foster carers who look after children and young
people in the borough.

We welcome all sections of the community and invite adults to contact
us to find out more about how to become a foster carer.  We do not expect you to have any particular qualifications or to be from a certain background. What we do expect is that you have a real interest in caring for children and young people and the space in your home plus time in your life to foster a child.

To become a foster carer we will take you through all the stages of
preparation.  We do this because the children who need fostering have
had difficult experiences and need understanding and knowledgeable
adults who are able to care for and support them.

If you want to find out more about fostering, please contact the Enfield Fostering Service on 020 8379 2831 or email fostering@enfield.gov.uk
