The North London Adoption Consortium

Enfield is part of the North London Adoption Consortium.  The consortium is an amalgamation of five statutory agencies, Barnet, Haringey, Camden, Enfield and Islington and two voluntary agencies, Parents For Children and Norwood , covering a culturally diverse and densely populated area.

By working closely together this consortium aims to share skills, training and experiences, streamlining their individual assessment procedures and preparation groups, so that children across North London are placed with adoptive parents that can best meet their needs.

This is a real partnership, breaking down bureaucracy and obstacles that have previously made adoption more difficult than it need be, and making a difference to the lives of real children.  It makes sense to work together to achieve shared goals, as we all face the same issues and challenges. Together we can work towards finding permanent loving and caring homes for all our local children.
