We collect household refuse and waste for recycling once a week from all residential areas in Enfield.

Operating hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm
When necessary, we start at 6am, for example in areas that are on red routes and high-density shopping areas.

If you live in a house

  • Put your refuse in black sacks (or the wheeled bins we have provided) and waste for recycling in the containers/boxes/wheeled bins that we have provided.
  • On the collection day, leave the sacks, boxes or wheeled bins at the edge of the boundary of you property by 7am 

If you live in a flat or on an estate

  • You will receive communal bin collection service where larger containers are provided.
  • Put your refuse and recycling into these containers.
  • If needed, we may collect more than once a week.

If it is after 4pm on your collection day and your refuse or recycling still have not been collected please click here to report the missed collection

Bank holiday collections

Over the Christmas and New Year period refuse and recycling collections will change. In December please visit http://www.enfield.gov.uk/ for changes or look in local press for information. Collections continue as normal on all other bank holidays.
