Tourism signs
Renewing a sign
A permanent sign has an expected lifespan of about 20 years.
If you want to replace a sign and the authority approves it, you have to apply to install a new sign.
You need to provide:
- Name and nature of the destination to be signed
- Your or your organisation's contact details (i.e. name, address and telephone number)
We endeavour to process applications within one month of receiving them.
If your application is approved, we will advise you about the expected costs that you need to pay. The costs are:
- All reasonable costs associated with the manufacture and erection of the signs(s); and
- Application cost (based on when the application is made)
You then need to confirm in writing if you wish to proceed with erecting the sign.
