Volunteering in Enfield

100 Hours Volunteering Scheme

100 Hours logo 2010 Do you coach a sports team, help out at a playgroup, or engage in any other voluntary work for the community for more than two hours a week?

Then you, or the organisation you volunteer with, can register for the 100 Hours Volunteering Scheme.

Enfield Council is working in partnership with voluntary sector organisations to develop the 100 Hours Volunteering Scheme as a way of recognising their good work and rewarding our volunteers.

All voluntary organisations, clubs and community groups in the borough are invited to get involved in the 100 Hours Scheme which was launched to encourage Enfield residents to engage in voluntary work for the community.

Once an organisation has signed up to become a member of the 100 Hours Scheme, all its volunteers who live in Enfield will be issued with a membership card. They can record each completed hour of volunteering using the card. The aim is to achieve a minimum of 100 hours per year or two hours per week.

Those who have completed 100 hours of volunteering will be invited to a civic reception in recognition of their hard work and support for their community. As a token of our appreciation volunteers receive a certificate and a limited edition pin badge.
