Pollution Control - Exhaust emission testing

What we do

Vehicles are pulled over by the police and the exhaust emissions are checked with a specialist analyser.

The emissions are compared to the standards required by the MOT test.

If a vehicle does not meet the emission standards, a fixed penalty notice is issued.

If the vehicle owner has the emissions fault corrected within 14 days of the test, the amount of fine will be halved.
