Edmonton Green Masterplan

What is a Masterplan?

A masterplan is a planning document that sets out a vision for improving an area. It is a regeneration plan with a timeframe of 5-15 years that will be used to make decisions on planning applications and investment. Masterplans focus on specific places and consider how housing, parks, and town centres could be improved as well as things like creating new jobs and improving the health of residents. They also identify sites for redevelopment. The timetable for the masterplan is set out below:

• Autumn/Winter 2012:  Consultation on Draft Masterplan
• 2013: Masterplan adopted and delivery of projects in the plan

CONSULTATION: Issues and Options Report

This is the first document we will ask you to comment on. The report identifies some of the issues facing Edmonton Green and asks you what you think the best options are to deal with these. It does not set out any definite plans at this stage.

• Pick up a questionnaire at the following venues: Community House, Edmonton Green Library, Fore Street Library, Edmonton Leisure Centre and the Council Offices (Civic Centre)- From Friday 13th April

We are holding a number of events in April, May and June to give you more information on the masterplan:

Exhibition at Edmonton Green Library throughout the consultation period. The exhibition will be staffed on the following days and we will be available to answer questions:

• Wednesday 18th April: 9.30am-12.30pm
• Tuesday 24th April: 3-7pm
• Wednesday 2nd May: 9.30am- 12.30pm
• Tuesday 8th May: 3-7pm
• Saturday 12th May: 12-4pm
• Wednesday 30th May: 9.30am-12.30pm

• Community House: Thursday 26th April 12-3pm
• The Ark: Wednesday 9th May 3-7pm 
• Angel Community Centre: Saturday 26th May 12-4pm
