Southgate Town Hall Planning Brief

Southgate Town Hall

What is the Southgate Town Hall Planning Brief?

We have prepared a planning brief to guide the future development of the Southgate Town Hall site. The site includes the town hall building, and Palmers Green library. Our objective is to refurbish the library and to enable redevelopment on the rest of the site. The planning brief is a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) in the Local Development Framework which means it will be used to guide future development of the buildings, as well as being a major consideration when making decisions on planning applications.

Final Planning Brief

At the meeting on the 12th October 2011, Cabinet adopted the Planning Brief. You can view the documents here:

What happens next?

The brief is now part of the planning system (the Local Development Framework) and will be used to make decisions on the future of the site.  We will also proceed with the refurbishment of the library.
