Club and Coach Development
Enfield Sports Development Team aims to develop and encourage more adult participation in sports and physical activities in Enfield. The team is currently implementing the 5yr “Everybody Active” Strategy (2009 – 2014)
The team works with local, regional and national partners to create equitable and sustainable opportunities for sports participation at every level. The vision of the Sports Development Team is, 'Everybody Active: at school, in the workplace and in the community'.
Everybody Active is about making sports and physical activity integral to everyday life. In order to achieve the goals established in this strategy the team are committed to assisting local sports clubs and coaches by offering:-
1 Advice from dedicated sports development officers responsible for Club, Coach & Volunteer Development.
2 Regular email updates of coach education courses available.
3 Details of coaching bursaries and Enfield specific funding streams.
4 Regular email updates of funding opportunities and advice on how to apply for funding.
5 Access to Sports Development Team’s Volunteer Package.
6 Clubmark Package – guidance and assistance in gaining accreditations and offering benefits for clubs who are accredited.
7 Have local sports club details in the Enfield’s Sports Directory, which is advertised on the Council website.
8 Links to local schools through our partners in the Physical Education Team.
