London Borough of Enfield

Exhibitions

Exhibitions At the moment Forty Hall & Estate is not open to the public, owing to the Forty Hall Development Project, and will reopen in Spring 2012.  This means that there are no exhibitions currently at the Hall.  In the interim the Forty Hall & Estate Arts and Events team will continue to stage exhibition and interventions across the borough and in the parkland surrounding the Estate.

For further information on forthcoming exhibitions and to view an archive of past exhibitions please visit the events section of this website.

As of Spring 2012 Forty Hall & Estate will offer a number of temporary exhibition spaces including:
  • The first floor with high level hanging rails in each room
  • Rainton Room on the ground floor with its easy access to the grounds
  • Community‐led Interpretative Centre (the gallery) with easy access to
  • the large courtyard
  • The glazed inner courtyard (between the kitchen and the gallery) as a space for transition from the Hall to the gallery

Outside of the Hall, the courtyard and landscape also provides a wonderful venue for temporary exhibition of various kinds.

Forty Hall will continue to work with local community history and arts groups,

schools, and professional artists as exhibitors and originators of the exhibitions in terms of community hires and commissioned exhibitions.

For information on alternative exhibition spaces in the borough to hire whilst Forty hall & estate is closed for refurbishment please visit the main Enfield Council website.
