Alzheimer's Society Enfield

The Alzheimer's Society offers a variety of services in Enfield, including:

• Home respite care
• Day care
• Drop-ins for people with dementia and their carers. A community psychiatric nurse is available for a private chat
• Quarterly newsletter
• Support group for carers of people with dementia.

Enfield Dementia Adviser Service

The Dementia Adviser Service is for people diagnosed with dementia and is run by the Alzheimer's Society in partnership with Enfield Council. A named dementia adviser gives tailored information to help people with dementia use the local services they need.

You can contact the service directly or your GP, health or social worker can refer you.

Age UK Enfield

Age UK runs the Time Out Service which provides home-based respite for carers of people with dementia. A care worker will look after the person while the carer takes a break from their caring duties. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Age UK's Parker Centre is a day care centre which provides a variety of activities for people with dementia. The Parker Centre also offers support for carers and information on how to take care of the needs of people with dementia.
