Support to live independently

There is a range of help available to give you support to live in your home. You may need adaptations or equipment to help you on a daily basis.

Supported or sheltered housing can offer you services to help you live independently, with the added security of having someone to call on in emergencies. Some schemes with extra daily support.

Independent living

Care homes offer a level of support that cannot be provided in your own home. Some offer full-time nursing care while others support people with a specific disability or medical need.

You may be entitled to a grant to make your home more energy efficient and help to be more comfortable in the winter months.
