Ladderswood Regeneration
Shaping New Southgate
Creating a truly attractive, enjoyable and sustainable place for people to live and work
The redevelopment of the Ladderswood Way estate and the adjoining New Southgate Industrial estate is a project of major strategic importance for the Council and its regeneration ambitions.
Mulalley in partnership with One Housing Group have been chosen as the Council’s development partner for the regeneration of the Ladderswood Estate. Mullaley will work with One Housing, the social landlord who will manage the affordable housing.
Mullaley and One Housing were chosen as they provided the scheme that best met the requirements of the local community and the Council.
The development will create new homes; a new community centre and employment space along with physical improvements to surrounding streets and spaces. The new homes will range from 1 bedroom flats to 4 bedroom houses and will be a mix of private and affordable. All of the existing flats on the estate will be demolished and replaced with high quality homes.
Next Steps:
Subject to planning permission being given work will start on site in 2013.
