From more information see The Denise Hards Lending Library The Informed Families Enfield has set up a book lending library for pre-schools and day nurseries within the borough. The aim of the library is to support providers to meet the 14 national standards, to help settings take forward any key issues for action within Ofsted inspection reports and to provide a resource to support early years practitioners to continually evolve their knowledge of best practice. Pre-schools, day nurseries, after school clubs and youth groups can all access a massive range of diverse materials including paper, card, foils, fabrics, buttons, plastics and other treasure troves of scrap. Enfield Libraries Book Requests For Childminders Registered childminders are entitled to a Childminders Library Card. You will simply need to show your certificate of OFSTED registration as well as one other piece of identification to qualify for this ticket, as well as filling out a library membership form. You can join at any Enfield library location. Childminders can borrow up to 20 books at a time, in addition to 2 CDs, 2 videos or DVDs and 2 educational videos. Books are loaned for three weeks. All audio/visual items are loaned for a small fee. Childminders can also request specific materials (either specific titles or books on themes) and pick them up at the library closest to where they live or work. Requests can be made either online at www.enfield.gov.uk/forms/childminder_form.htm or by ringing the Action For Children Librarian on 020 8379 3115. Collections will be ready for pick up within two weeks of making the request. Book Requests For Playgroups Registered playgroups are entitled to a Playgroup Library Card.
