The Effective Provision of Pre-School (EPPE) Project
A longitudinal study of the progress and development of 3000 children in various types of pre-school education. It has found that good quality pre-school experience has a positive impact on children’s learning during school and beyond.

Parent’s Eye
The Daycare Trust Report - Parent’s Eye - funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation highlights the outcomes of a year long project exploring attitudes, perceptions and experiences of childcare through parents’ eyes. The project worked with a diverse range of communities including traveller parents, asylum seeker parents and parents with the Chinese, Pakistani, Black Caribbean and Black African communities. The Study makes several key recommendations for improving childcare services.
