Clinical Commissioning Groups were formed as a result of the NHS White Paper "Equality and excellence: Liberating the NHS" and the Health and Social Care Act 2012 and replaced the Primary Care Trust (PCT.)

Enfield CCG is committed to ensuring it commissions sustainable, high quality, safe, effective and efficient healthcare services with a focus on improving patient experience on behalf of the population of Enfield.

It is made up of 53 GP member practices who report to an elected board, responsible for overseeing the work of the CCG and making sure decisions about changes to local health services are debated openly and fairly.
