Once upon a time there was a girl called Rapunzel with beautiful golden hair, taken by an enchantress from her mother and father. Shut away in a tower in the middle of the woods, with neither stairs nor a door, Rapunzel lived a lonely and solitary life, until a handsome prince rides through the forest and they embark on an adventure they’ll never forget! Based on the German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, Rapunzel is a folklore tale that’ll have you on the edge of your seat and singing along! Age Suitability 3+

Forty Hall & Estate are delighted to announce a new contemporary art installation that is set to challenge your perception of heritage. Acclaimed live artist Richard Layzell reveals his personal exploration of Forty Hall & Estate through performance and work with local residents. Richard’s installation, incorporating a performance element, will take Forty Hall & Estate’s as inspiration and expose a contemporary twist on its history, prompting you to think differently about this beautiful place. Richard Layzell is a London-based artist who works in installation, video and performance internationally.
