"Threads of Gold" - Celebrating 50 years of Flower arranging - 10th September 2009

The London and Overseas Area of National Association of Flower arranging Societies (NAFAS) is holding an Area Show in the grounds of Capel Manor Gardens with the title Threads of Gold.
There will be twelve classes with titles such as "Natures Tapestry", "Misty Solitude, "Structured for Effect" - a Land Art class to be staged outdoors. Our juniors will have the chance to create a fairy entitled "Will o the Wisp". Our overseas members will compete in a craft class "Floral Strands"
Members taking part will be some of the best flowers arrangers in the Area. Recent work has been seen at the RHS Show at the Inner Temple, Selfridges during Chelsea week and Westminster Abbey during the NAFAS 50th Anniversary.
There will also be flower arranging demonstrations by Neil Whittaker NDFS AIFD FSF.
Entry to the show will include access to the thirty acres of richly planted theme gardens at Capel Manor, including the recently refurbished NAFAS garden, Historical gardens, Italianate maze, a Japanese garden and many more. The Jungle Garden, designed by Kim Wilde, the animals and stable yard will appeal to children.
