Councillor Michael Lavender, Enfield Council's Deputy Leader said: "We wanted to do something special this year for Love Parks Week and thought a teddy bears picnic would be great fun for all the family during the holiday season.

"Enfield is one of the greenest boroughs in London and our parks are our greatest asset. We plumped for Broomfield as it's one of North London's best parks, which is why we decided to hold the party there.

"I urge anyone who has a young child and is looking for a fun time in a beautiful park, pick up a picnic and a bear and get down to Broomfield Park on 31 July - you'll love it."

The picnic on July 31 takes place from noon to 3pm and is FREE entry.
