Function: Develop cultural and creative industries to bring more employment to the borough to make Enfield an even more attractive place to live and work.
The ESP commissioned a Consultative Report on Employment in Enfield. This identifed the opportunities that would present themselves over the next 3-4 years in terms of new industries and growth areas in the borough and seek to propose ways to bridge the gap between these opportunities and the workforce available. It also included seeking ways to break down barriers to employment such as lack of basic skills, English as a second language, non-recognition of qualifications gained abroad, transport issues, childcare and many more.
