Sustainable Communities – Volunteering

The 100 Hours Scheme

To recognise the incredible contribution of volunteers throughout the borough, the Enfield Strategic Partnership has launched a new scheme, the 100 Hours Scheme. People engaged in voluntary work and voluntary organisations that engage volunteers in the Borough are invited to get involved in the 100 Hours Scheme.

Enfield Council is working in partnership with One-to-One (Enfield), Age Concern Enfield, Home Start Enfield, Enfield Disability Action and Enfield Voluntary Action to develop the 100 Hours Scheme to ensure that volunteers are recognised and rewarded for their hard work.

Once an organisation has signed up to become a member of the 100 Hours Scheme all your volunteers that live in the London Borough of Enfield are issued with their membership card where they simply keep a record of each completed hour of volunteering. The aim is to achieve a minimum of 100 hours per year or 2 hours per week. Once volunteers have completed 100 hours of volunteering, Enfield Council will be inviting volunteers to an awards ceremony in recognition of their hard work and support for their community.
