Community Safety

Community Safety Works in partnership in Enfield to significantly improve the quality of life for all sections of our community. It will create a safer environment, free of the undue fear of crime, where people are safe and feel safe, and where social activity and economic life can flourish.

Aim: ‘To create ‘A safer Enfield to live, work, study and do business’.

Objectives of the Safer & Stronger Communities Board is as follows:
• Work to achieve a safer, stronger Enfield through development of the Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership
• Work with partners to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and respond to the fear of crime
• Promote public safety in Enfield by the use of CCTV and Improve safety on roads and in the home
• Work to reduce drug and alcohol abuse in the borough
• Support the environmental crime unit to secure increased number of interventions through formal action, including prosecutions where appropriate, by fully using existing and new legislative powers.
