Housing EnablingThe Housing Services Enabling Team works in partnership with: Registered Social Landlords (commonly know as housing associations), other Council Departments, the Housing Corporation other Government agencies and the private sector to provide permanent affordable homes in Enfield. The Enabling Team of Enfield’s Strategic Housing Service works in partnership Registered Social Landlords (commonly known as housing associations), housing developers, funding bodies such as the Housing Corporation and other Government agencies to provide a supply of affordable housing tailored to meet the needs of Enfield. The team provides a link between the external providers and other service groups within Enfield Council such as: Health & Adult Social Services, Planning, Property Services, and Education & Children’s Services, to provide a range of affordable housing options that include: The Enabling Team also works closely with five neighbouring local authority partners: Barnet, Camden, Haringey, Islington and Westminster, as part of the North London Sub-region of housing authorities. This partnership The Enabling Team does not deal with the allocation of new or re-let housing association properties. Housing associations generally have nominations agreements with the local authority and access to these properties is via Enfield’s Housing Assessments and Options Service. Eligibility
