Forty Hall and Estate Heritage Lottery Bid

Introduction

Enfield Council is in the process of developing a new vision for the future of Forty Hall & Estate as part of its forthcoming Heritage Lottery Bid: this includes the Hall itself and the surrounding parkland.

These PDF files ( Pages 1-6, Pages 7-12 )outline the importance of this grade one listed building and historic landscape, which includes the archaeological remains of Elsyng Palace, Royal home to Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. The display also shows some of the issues, which will help to protect the building for future generations, including the visitor experience within the house and park.

A successful bid will allow more public access to the building and increased educational opportunities, continuing to develop the hall as an important regional historical attraction.

We would like to hear your comments or suggestions on the future of Forty Hall. Please email forty.hall@enfield.gov.uk
